Drone Pilot Summer Hat

Most of my summer jobs happen in open fields and on rooftops with no shade, so a hat that breathes matters as much as one that blocks the sun. This is a trucker-style cap with a mesh back that lets heat escape. The structured front and curved visor keep light off your eyes and your controller screen.

If you prefer a softer, unstructured cap, have a look at the drone pilot dad hat. For more on fighting glare in the field, I wrote a guide on how to see your drone controller screen in bright sunlight.
